Hey guys! Had been so busy recently with all the assignments, class tests and all...
World Spine Day was a success!! Pictures of the event can be seen in facebook! (there's 300 of them!) I'll share my class photo here though~ ^_^
-------------------------------------------------------
Anyway, I've gotten my Certificate of Good Conduct today, since my class ended early! :)
I intend to share the whole process here, as it may help some of you! Got this idea from another blogger, as her blogpost helped me when I wanted to renew my passport previously.. It made the process faster and easier as I already know what to bring, what to do, and where to go~ So.. Thank you so much! haha XD
Well~ This 'Certificate of Good Conduct' is in-charged by the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.. There are 2 ways to apply for the cert. You can either apply online (which is much easier of course) or you can visit them and use their kiosk (yup! you don't have to go to their counter). Each application will cost you RM20! I'll provide the address below alright! ;)
So~ For those who plan to make the application online, you can visit this website :
Please refer to the guidelines provided (you can also download it from their webpage) as they teach you what to do, step-by-step... I find it very useful!
After completing the application form, please print out the acknowledgement slip! Then, you will just have to wait for your cert to be ready for collection! Always log in to check for the status of your application! Eventhough they mentioned that it'll take 1-2 months for approval, mine was ready for collection within a week! Hehe :)
Once your cert is ready, there are 2 ways for you to collect it. You can either visit their office, or you can request for their postal service.
If you choose to request for their postal service, you will need to mail them your
- Application acknowledgement slip
- Bank Draft / Money Order of RM20 (details can be found in guidelines)
- An A4 sized self-addressed envelope with sufficient stamp fee
If you choose to visit their office, you will need to bring your
- Application acknowledgement slip
- Cash payment of RM20
- Yourself! =P
- Letter of Authorization for collection on behalf of the applicant (if someone else is taking it for you)
I chose to go there, as I'm worried that the postman might crumple my cert or lose it along the way.. or it may get spoilt by the rain water, etc... Yup, I'm quite paranoid about all this! XD
Anyway, it took me an hour to get there! Furthermore, it was raining so heavily.. :(
Here's a photo of how the place looks like...
Once you reach there, drop your IC/license at the security counter, and inform them that you want to go to the Consular Department. They will give you a visitor pass. Then, proceed into the building. Once you entered through the main entrance, the Consular Department is located on your right hand side. Get a number from the counter, then find a seat and wait for your turn. When it's your turn, just hand them your acknowledgement slip and RM20. They will ask you to return to your seat, while they prepare your cert. Once it's ready, they will call your number again. Then, it's good to go! They will hand you the cert, acknowledgement slip, and an official resit for your payment.
Mission Complete!! XD The whole thing only took me 10-15 minutes! :D
